Election Details
An election is to be held in the Town of Turtle, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed:

The term for all offices is for two years beginning on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
Additional Information
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.
YOU MUST MAKE A REQUEST FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN WRITING.
Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both. You may go to www.myvote.wi.gov to request an absentee ballot be sent to you. You may also submit a written request in the form of a letter. Your written request must list your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature. You may make application for an absentee ballot by mail or in person.
MAKING APPLICATION TO RECEIVE AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL.
The deadline for making application to vote absentee by mail is 5:00 PM on the fifth day before the election, Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Note: Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror. If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.

The first day to vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office in the State of Wisconsin is Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Please see the Town of Turtle’s hours above. The deadline for voting an absentee ballot in the clerk's office is 5:00 PM, on Friday, March 29, 2024.
The municipal clerk will deliver voted ballots returned on or before Election Day to the proper polling place or counting location before the polls close on April 2, 2024. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted.
ELECTION TABULATOR TESTING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that a test will be conducted on the electronic tabulating equipment to be utilized in the Town of Turtle for the April 2, 2024 Presidential Preference and Spring Election. This test is being conducted to ascertain that the equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all offices. The test will be held March 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at the Turtle Community Center, 6916 S. Co. Road J, Beloit, Wisconsin. This test is open to the public.
